Calista McGinsie

BS, LMT, CNS, CPT, CES | MA 99557

Born and raised in a small town near Indianapolis, Calista McGinsie has always been passionate about movement and athletics. While excelling in multiple sports, she found her true calling in competitive cheerleading. However, at just 15 years old, a tumbling accident resulted in a spinal cord injury, leading to years of chronic neck, hand, and hip pain. Despite countless treatments and reliance on medication, nothing provided lasting relief—until she encountered a skilled physical therapist and massage therapist who approached her pain from a different perspective. Their treatment transformed her life, igniting her desire to one day help others regain their freedom from pain just as she had.

Though her journey took a nontraditional route, Calista believes it ultimately led her to the Center for Neurosomatic Studies (CNS) and her true purpose as a Neurosomatic Specialist. She first pursued higher education at Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Apparel Merchandising with minors in Business Marketing, Spanish, and Fashion Design in 2015. After working in the cosmetics industry, her career brought her to Tampa, Florida, where she experienced her first Neurosomatic Therapy (NST) session—a life-changing moment that solidified her decision to finally follow her passion for helping others overcome pain.

Determined to master the discipline, Calista graduated at the top of her class from CNS, excelling in the study of human anatomy, biomechanics, and structural therapy. Upon completing the program in early 2022, she immediately joined the esteemed St. John-Clark Pain Treatment Center as a Neurosomatic Specialist, where she helped clients reclaim their quality of life. Additionally, she is passionate about advancing the field and mentored current CNS students as a teaching assistant, sharing her expertise and dedication to the craft.

Calista is committed to continuous learning and refining her approach to pain resolution, ensuring that every client receives exceptional care. Now running her own business, she continues to play an integral role in expanding awareness of Neurosomatic Therapy and helping individuals achieve lasting relief from pain.
